| For
centuries, mankind has adorned his environments with decorative
finishes, fine plasters, artwork and other embellishments.
The ruins of Pompeii and other Roman cities contain a
vast assortment of frescoes and decorative art. Everyone
has seen the fantastic frescoes produced during the Renaissance,
a period of unparalleled artistic achievement. Even the
Palace of Versailles, world renown for its ornate splendor,
contains a great percentage of faux marble panels, as
real marble became too expensive for even Louis XIV! Woodgraining,
or simulating the look of real wood, became a trade specialty
in medieval Europe as lumber became rarer and more expensive. |

Today
we see a resurgence of interest in the decorative arts,
as people increasingly grow weary of the bleak and unadorned
modernist landscape that has characterized much interior
design and architecture for the last fifty-plus years.
People are spending more time at home, and desire comfortable
and beautiful surroundings in which they actually want
to spend time!
At
Renaissance Studios, creating beauty in the lives of
others is our true passion. Whether it's walls, furniture,
cabinets, floors or ceilings, our commitment to artistry
and craftsmanship is unsurpassed. Let us show you the
possibilities.
